Role description
Hi, Please go through the job description: Title: Data Analyst Location: Charlotte, NC(Onsite Local) Duration: 6+ months Job Description: This position is on the Spectrum Reach Data Quality (DQ) team. The DQ team is responsible for monitoring data for anomalies that could impact reporting or downstream data partners. In the past, we have utilized Tableau for some of this monitoring but recently brought in a data observability tool called Monte Carlo which is helping us to create alert-driven monitors. Our data is primarily in Snowflake, but we receive source data in Amazon S3 buckets. The DQ team also supports QA testing for Spectrum Reach Data Integration development teams. We use SQL heavily to perform testing and to investigate data issues. We use Jira to manage work requests and ALM Octane as our test repository. This position contributes to our company’s success by helping to ensure that data is ingested and available internally as well for business partners. Major Duties and Responsibilities β€’ Develop custom monitors in Monte Carlo utilizing SQL. β€’ Develop and maintain complex SQL for data investigation. β€’ Perform data testing on data integration efforts. β€’ Participate in monthly DQ update with senior management. Required Qualifications β€’ 5+ years’ experience with SQL (analysis, writing Ad hoc SQL queries, data validation, and data quality) β€’ 5+ years’ experience with data monitoring/data validation β€’ 5+ years’ experience in an enterprise environment β€’ Excellent data analysis abilities β€’ Proven problem solver β€’ Detail-oriented β€’ Self-motivated, proactive and results driven β€’ Strong communication skills both written and verbal β€’ Must work well with others and promote a positive Team environment Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering or Data-related field Preferred Qualifications β€’ Experience with Snowflake (but Oracle or Big Query or similar are fine) β€’ Experience with JIRA β€’ Experience with Amazon S3 buckets, and ideally Athena β€’ Experience with ALM Octane is a bonus Experience with Monte Carlo or another data quality / data monitoring tool is a bonus
