Data Analyst (Contract)
£450–£550 per day | Inside IR35

Our client is a growing technology consultancy delivering user-centred, purpose-driven digital services across government, healthcare and mission-led organisations. They are looking for an experienced Data Analyst to turn complex data into clear insights that drive action and improve services.
The role
You’ll work within multidisciplinary delivery teams to design and implement performance measurement frameworks, using analytics, KPIs and storytelling to support better decision-making. You’ll select appropriate techniques to turn data into insights while operating within legal, technical and ethical constraints.
You’ll also support the wider data practice by mentoring junior colleagues, providing feedback and applying the right measurements at each stage of product delivery.
Security Clearance (SC) is required. Applicants must hold active SC or be eligible (UK citizen, 5 years’ continuous UK residence, no single absence over 28 days).
Essential experience
• Using data platforms such as Google Analytics, Splunk, Datadog or similar
• Creating service performance dashboards using data visualisation tools
• Designing and implementing performance frameworks (KPIs or OKRs)
• Identifying appropriate data sources and interpreting results accurately
• Collecting, cleansing and analysing data to produce actionable insights
• Communicating insights through clear, compelling data stories
• Creating and testing hypotheses based on data
• Experience working in a GDS delivery environment within government
Desirable experience
• Visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or similar
• Scripting or programming (e.g. SQL, Python, R)
• Knowledge of data privacy and security
• Making recommendations for service improvements
Working pattern
Hybrid working across office locations, client sites and home. Travel may be required depending on project needs.
