Title: Technical Documentation Control Analyst
Location: Portland OR 97217 – HYBRID (1 remote day, 4 days in the office)
Duration: 12+ Months
Position Summary:
Description:
The Technical Documentation Control Analyst I ensures data integrity on Aftermarket data for service parts catalog and downstream systems in collaboration with Aftermarket and Engineering departments. This position will have ability to serve as data steward in our department and be the liaison between internal and external customers.
Top 3 must-have hard skills
1 Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including filters, VLOOKUPs, and pivot tables (macros preferred but not required).
2 Strong attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
3 Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with automotive or truck parts, whether from a dealership, parts retailer, or comparable environment.
Responsibilities:
• Primary point of responsibility, accountability and activity for the assessment, improvement and governance of quality and ongoing fitness-for-purpose of an organization's critical data assets
• Data stewards are not owners of the data but rather serve as trustees to ensure adequate data quality is maintained so that data can effectively support business processes
• Engages with business leadership to quantify and articulate the business impact of data quality issues
• Assesses the current state of data quality within their scope of responsibility
• Establishes target goals for data quality improvement and identifies optimal approaches for resolving data quality issues to achieve targets
• Works within and beyond area of control to implement improvement approaches
• Identifies data quality metrics and executes data quality audits to benchmark the state of data quality
• Develops, monitors, tracks and reports ongoing data quality level
• Ability for career growth experience
Knowledge You Should Bring
• BS/BA or 2 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
• Microsoft Suites experience
• May lead projects or processes as required
• Self-motivated and self-directed required
