About Us
As part of UCL Professional Services, we manage an unparalleled estate that includes over 240 buildings, 6.5 million square feet of academic accommodation and 4,500 student bedrooms spread across our vibrant campuses. Our Estates division delivers not only the infrastructure for world-class teaching and research but also a sustainable, safe, and dynamic environment that directly contributes to an inspiring campus experience for our 46,000 students and 13,000 staff. We believe in a collaborative, customer-focused approach where tradition meets innovative transformation.
About The Role
We are looking for a Data Analyst who will play a pivotal role in supporting the Estates function across both Development and Operations teams. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and managing intuitive dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau and Power BI, delivering actionable insights on project delivery, capital works, and strategic initiatives. You will collect, process, and analyse diverse data sources to identify trends, conduct gap analyses, and support informed decision-making.
In addition, you will ensure data integrity through robust validation protocols, collaborate with IT and digital teams, and act as a data steward for the Estates division. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will refine key performance indicators and streamline reporting processes, enhancing operational performance and project efficiency.
This role offers working flexibility with two days on site and three days from home, allowing you to balance innovative data practices with collaborative team interaction. You will report directly to the Head of PMO Transformation and work in a dynamic and supportive environment where your insights drive real change.
About You
We are seeking an individual who combines technical expertise with a strategic mindset. The ideal candidate will hold a degree or have equivalent experience, with a strong academic background, and possess highly developed data, numerical, and analytical skills along with the proven ability to develop and interpret key performance indicators.
You will have a track record of producing detailed visualisations and complex data reports using advanced tools like Tableau and Power BI, alongside excellent IT skills in the MS Office suite, particularly Excel. Experience with coding languages such as Python or R is highly desirable.
You should be adept at communicating complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and engaging manner. Previous experience in a large, complex organisation and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and senior stakeholders will be essential in thriving in this role.
If you are passionate about data and eager to contribute your analytical expertise in a high-profile, innovative environment, then we would love to hear from you. Join us at UCL and be a part of shaping the future of campus excellence.
