Data Analyst | £525 - £575 We're working with a leading specialist talent and resource consultancy on behalf of a premier global insurance and Lloyd’s Market leader on this exciting opportunity. This is a high-impact 6-month contract for a Data Analyst with deep expertise in the London Market and Specialty Insurance. You will lead the charge in defining the data workstream scope, leveraging Databricks Medallion architecture and Azure Data Factory to transform complex delegated authority data into actionable insights. The Role • Draft comprehensive scope and KPIs for the data and analytics workstream, ensuring full alignment with end-user requirements. • Develop detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), data mapping specifications, and refined PBIs with clear user stories for engineering teams. • Perform deep-dive data profiling and exploratory queries on Delegated Authority sources to support Medallion layer transformations. • Analyze existing insurance reports and extracts to understand logic and transformations, identifying opportunities for logic reuse and data optimization. • Collaborate directly with Data Engineers, Architects, and Modellers to ensure all mapping meets rigorous regulatory and data governance standards. What You'll Need • Proven experience as a Data or Systems Analyst delivering complex data projects specifically within P&C or Specialty Insurance (Lloyd’s/London Market knowledge is essential). • Strong technical proficiency in Databricks Medallion architecture, Azure Data Factory, and both Logical and Physical data modelling. • Domain expertise in Delegated Authority data structures; experience with VIPR integration is highly advantageous. • Deep understanding of the Lloyd’s Market operating model, including Syndicate data structures, Solvency II, and GDPR requirements. • Exceptional ability to document technical requirements, data transformation specifications, and acceptance criteria.
