Data Analyst (Contract)
Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Microsoft through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions. If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by AGS and will not be an employee of Microsoft.
Summary
A supply chain master data team is seeking a skilled Business Intelligence and Data Quality Analyst to improve the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of critical enterprise data. This role sits at the intersection of business intelligence development, AI solution design, and data governance, offering the opportunity to make a measurable impact on supply chain operations. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can independently gather requirements, design scalable solutions, and lead cross-functional initiatives that drive lasting improvements in data quality and operational efficiency.
Job Responsibilities
• Develop Power BI dashboards and analytics solutions that provide visibility into data quality trends, exceptions, and key performance indicators
• Build AI-assisted solutions using Microsoft Copilot, prompt engineering, and AI agents to improve data analysis and operational efficiency
• Analyze data across multiple enterprise systems to identify inconsistencies, duplicates, missing attributes, and process gaps
• Perform root cause analysis and recommend sustainable solutions to prevent recurring data issues
• Lead data remediation initiatives and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure corrective actions are completed
• Establish data quality metrics, monitoring processes, and governance controls
• Create and maintain process documentation, business rules, standard operating procedures, and training materials
• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable and sustainable solutions
• Deliver a scalable dashboard and/or AI-based solution for monitoring and improving data quality within the first six months
• Drive adoption of new processes and tools with minimal oversight
Requirements
• 4 years of overall experience in a data analyst or business intelligence role
• 2–4 years of experience with SQL, data modeling, data lakes, or enterprise data platforms
• 2–4 years of experience with ERP, PLM, MRP, or supply chain systems
• 2–4 years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or Aras Innovator (OnePDM)
• Bachelor's degree highly preferred
• Experience designing and developing Power BI dashboards and business intelligence solutions
• Proficiency using Microsoft Copilot, prompt engineering, AI agents, or similar AI technologies to solve business problems and automate processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including data quality assessment and root cause analysis
• Experience working with large and complex datasets across multiple systems
• Experience leading data quality, governance, remediation, or process improvement initiatives
• Demonstrated project management skills including stakeholder management, issue resolution, and driving actions to closure
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to independently gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver results with minimal oversight
• Experience with SQL, data modeling, data lakes, or enterprise data platforms
• Familiarity with ERP, PLM, MRP, or supply chain systems
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or Aras Innovator (OnePDM)
• Familiarity with master data management and data governance principles
• Experience working in manufacturing, engineering, or supply chain environments
