Role description
About the Position / Current Initiatives: This role involves working on assigned tasks with business deadlines, documenting analyses and sharing with stakeholders, creating and maintaining Tableau dashboards from scratch, and pulling data to meet business requests on an ad hoc basis.
What is the day in the life of this role look like?
This role would be doing some or all of the following
• Works on assigned tasks which has business deadlines
• Documents the analysis and shares it with stakeholders
• Creates and maintains best in class Tableau dashboards from scratch
• Pulls data to meet business requests on an ad hoc basis
Main Responsibilities:
• Needs someone strong in SQL who can build
• Using mult data sources, exploring data analysis, undertanding the data to build ad hoc reports
• Coding end to end
• Create visualizations using the data and working with data sources
• Understand the data and provide ad hoc analysis
• Build dashboards
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
• 6+ years of data analysis and reporting with a history of working and performing analysis using data from various applications and warehouses
• Strong SQL skill and prior experience writing complex code needed for analysis and data extraction
• Extensive experience building self-serve dashboards using Tableau and data analysis using Excel
• Self-starter who enjoys problem-solving with little direct supervision. Ability to learn quickly with a high tolerance for ambiguity and complexity
• Demonstrated ability to understand the data and the applications/processes that generates this data by iteratively hypothesizing and either proving or disproving the same while building overall understanding of dataset and the process flow
• Strong communication, verbal and written with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to non-technical stakeholders
• Previous experience working with call, case and order data from sources such as Salesforce, Remedy, NICE, IVR etc. (nice to have)
Responsibilities:
• Work with stakeholders to identify data needs and develop best in class self-serve dashboards
• Research, hypothesize, test and validate, establish the link between and within data from various sources and leverage that understanding to answer business questions
• Write complex SQL queries that utilizes multiple tables and generates the output that can be leveraged in reports
• Use data analysis techniques to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data sets
• Ensure data quality and accuracy through data validation and testing
• Perform ad-hoc analysis and identify opportunities to improve existing processes
• Document reporting requirements, analysis outcomes and processes
