Data Analyst

Data Analyst Position Overview Our client is seeking a Data Analyst to play a critical role in improving the quality, reliability, and scalability of their data ecosystem. This position focuses on identifying and resolving data inconsistencies, analyzing complex datasets, and building a more reliable data foundation across operational systems. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, naturally curious, and investigative in their approach—someone who goes beyond running queries and actively diagnoses underlying data issues, identifies root causes, develops solutions, and clearly documents findings and recommendations. Key Responsibilitie sData Qualit • yIdentify, investigate, and resolve data quality issues including duplicates, missing values, inconsistencies, and misalignments • .Analyze data across multiple datasets and platforms to identify gaps and improve overall data accuracy and consistency • .Develop repeatable processes for identifying, tracking, and resolving recurring data quality issues • .Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure information remains consistent across source and downstream systems • .Identify opportunities to automate data quality checks and reduce manual validation efforts .Data Analysis & Diagnostic • sAnalyze, reconcile, and validate large datasets using SQL and Python • .Compare data across systems to identify discrepancies and determine root causes • .Conduct structured investigations into data anomalies, unexpected results, and reporting inconsistencies • .Translate complex data issues into clear findings and actionable recommendations • .Develop efficient and repeatable approaches to troubleshooting complex data challenges • .Perform ad hoc analysis to support operational and business needs • .Identify patterns and trends that can help improve data reliability and operational processes .Systems & Data Integratio • nWork with data environments including MongoDB and Databricks • .Support data ingestion, transformation, integration, and reporting workflows • .Analyze data flows between MongoDB, Databricks, and other operational systems to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and integration issues • .Improve processes that bridge data between multiple platforms and operational systems • .Troubleshoot data ingestion, transformation, and synchronization issues • .Assess current tools, workflows, and processes and recommend enhancements where needed • .Support the development and improvement of scalable data transformation and integration processes .Documentation & Communicatio • nMaintain thorough documentation of analyses, findings, decisions, processes, and technical solutions • .Provide regular status updates and proactively communicate risks or blockers • .Present technical findings in a clear, concise manner for both technical and business stakeholders • .Translate complex data issues into understandable business impacts and recommended actions • .Ensure transparency and visibility of work completed during core business hours • .Document repeatable analytical and troubleshooting processes to improve team efficiency • .Contribute to the development of technical best practices across the data organization . Required Qualificatio • nsStrong hands-on experience with SQL and Pytho • n.Proven experience analyzing, reconciling, and validating complex dataset • s.Demonstrated experience identifying and resolving data quality issues across multiple system • s.Working knowledge of MongoDB, Databricks, or similar modern data platform • s.Experience working with data ingestion, transformation, and integration workflow • s.Strong problem-solving, analytical, and investigative skill • s.Ability to independently investigate complex data issues and identify root cause • s.Ability to communicate technical findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholder • s.Excellent documentation and communication skill s.
