Role Title: Data Analyst / Senior Data Analyst
We are seeking experienced Data Analysts with strong data modelling, governance, and analytical skills to support data-centric initiatives within the banking industry. The ideal candidates will have a balance of technical and functional expertise, with the ability to translate business needs into robust data models and actionable insights.
Minimum Criteria
• Proficiency in data modelling techniques (3NF, Star/Snowflake schemas, Data Vault 2.0).
• Hands-on experience using data modelling tools such as erwin, PowerDesigner, or Sparx Enterprise Architect.
• Experience with version control systems for managing data model changes.
• Skilled in creating and maintaining data dictionaries, taxonomies, and reference/master data, ensuring strong data governance.
• Proven ability to work with business stakeholders to define data use cases and establish success criteria.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
Desirable Criteria
• Exposure to relational and non-relational databases, data warehouse/lakehouse concepts, and ETL/ELT tools or frameworks.
• Experience in business analysis and requirement gathering for data-driven projects.
• Hands-on experience documenting or implementing data lineage and impact analysis (e.g., using Solidatus).
• Understanding of data architecture best practices and gap analysis (as-is vs. to-be states).
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA DMBOK) and data quality rules.
• Awareness of privacy and security-by-design principles, including PII handling, data minimization, and RBAC (Role-Based Access Control).
