Carex is partnering with a Healthcare industry partner to identify a hands-on Data Analyst to support a large-scale Electronic Health Record (EHR) transition initiative. This execution-focused contract role will be responsible for migrating, rebuilding, consolidating, and validating reporting assets to ensure business-critical reporting and analytics remain available throughout the transition to a new EHR platform. Working under the direction of analytics leadership, this individual will collaborate closely with analytics teams, business stakeholders, and data engineering partners to execute a prioritized reporting and analytics backlog while maintaining continuity across legacy and future-state reporting environments. What You'll Do • Migrate, rebuild, and re-source existing reports and dashboards as data transitions from legacy EHR systems to a new EHR platform. • Execute report disposition decisions, including retaining, rebuilding, replacing, or deprecating reporting assets based on stakeholder direction. • Build, operate, and reconcile reports that run concurrently across legacy and new data pipelines during transition periods. • Investigate reporting discrepancies, document findings, and partner with Data Engineering teams to resolve data issues. • Support the creation and maintenance of blended datasets that enable reporting continuity across multiple EHR platforms and timelines. • Develop and optimize SQL queries within the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) to support reporting and analytical requirements. • Translate business requirements into reliable, scalable, and well-documented reporting solutions. • Collaborate with Data Engineering to identify and implement required data model enhancements and source integrations. • Identify opportunities to consolidate redundant reports, dashboards, and reporting logic across teams. • Document report lineage, source mappings, assumptions, and known limitations to support long-term maintainability. • Provide surge capacity and backfill support to functional analytics teams by assuming ownership of reporting, dashboard, and remediation tasks during the transition. • Produce comprehensive documentation and facilitate smooth handoff of stabilized reporting assets to functional analytics teams. What You'll Bring • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, a related quantitative discipline, or equivalent technical experience. • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Analyst, BI Developer, Analytics Engineer, or similar analytics-focused role. • Strong SQL expertise, including experience writing and optimizing complex queries against cloud-based data warehouses such as AWS Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar platforms. • Advanced experience building and maintaining Power BI semantic models, dashboards, reports, datasets, DAX calculations, and workspace governance structures. • Experience working with healthcare data, including EHR systems, claims data, or related healthcare datasets. • Solid understanding of dimensional modeling, star schema design, and data modeling best practices. • Ability to translate business requirements into reliable reporting solutions and scalable data structures. • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, evolving environments with changing priorities and requirements. • Strong communication, documentation, and knowledge transfer skills. • Experience documenting report logic, data lineage, assumptions, and technical specifications. Preferred Qualifications • Experience supporting system migrations, data warehouse transitions, BI platform migrations, or large-scale reporting modernization initiatives. • Familiarity with athenahealth and athena Data View. • Experience with Microsoft Fabric data management capabilities, including Fabric Data Warehouse, Dataflows, and related services. • Prior experience consolidating reporting assets and standardizing analytics processes across multiple teams.
