Job Title: Data Analyst (Excel) Pay Rate: $28 - $30/HR Duration: 12 months Job Requisition: HN0011638 Location: Darien, CT (Onsite initially, with the possibility of transitioning to a hybrid schedule (up to 2 days remote per week) after successfully settling into the assignment) Shift: 9 AM - 5 PM Our client, a global industrial and consumer products manufacturer, is seeking a Data Analyst (Excel) to support data management, documentation, reporting, and process improvement activities related to raw materials. In this role, you will collect, organize, review, and maintain technical, regulatory, and sustainability information from suppliers and internal systems. You will work closely with chemists, R&D, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), suppliers, and other internal teams to ensure information is accurate, complete, and available when needed. A significant part of the role involves using Microsoft Excel to build and maintain trackers, reports, and practical tools that improve data accuracy, visibility, and workflow efficiency. • Collect, review, organize, and maintain raw-material regulatory, technical, and sustainability data. • Create, maintain, and improve Excel-based trackers, reports, and data-management tools. • Use Excel formulas and other capabilities to organize, analyze, and report information efficiently. • Develop practical digital solutions that improve efficiency, data quality, and visibility. • Track documentation requests, outstanding items, deadlines, and overall progress. • Work with suppliers, global R&D, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), and internal teams to obtain and validate raw-material information. • Identify workflow challenges, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement. • Support the implementation and adoption of new software and business systems. • Assist with process documentation, workflow/process mapping, and basic training materials. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Science, Chemistry, Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field. • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, or similar tools. • Experience creating or maintaining Excel-based trackers, reports, or data-management tools. • Strong data management and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail. • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software, databases, and business systems. • Strong communication and listening skills. • Proactive, analytical, and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving. • Comfortable balancing administrative responsibilities with technical and analytical tasks. • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Nice-to-Have Skills & Experience • Experience with Excel automation, macros/VBA, Power Query, or similar tools. • Experience working with scientific, chemical, engineering, manufacturing, regulatory, or product-related data.
