Data Analyst

Job Title: Data Analyst IV Location: Remote Duration: 12 months (with potential for extension) Experience Required: 5–8 years Education: Relevant degree preferred; experience matters more than education Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst IV to provide advanced analytical, reporting, and technical documentation support across business, operational, and financial domains. This role requires expertise in Microsoft Excel, Tableau, and Unidash, with a strong focus on cost analysis, data integrity, dashboard development, and professional technical writing. The ideal candidate will operate independently, exercise sound judgment, and deliver actionable insights to leadership and cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities Data Analysis & Management • Collect, consolidate, and validate data from multiple sources ensuring accuracy and consistency. • Perform complex analyses to identify trends, anomalies, and performance gaps. • Develop standardized data models and frameworks for scalable reporting. • Maintain proper data governance and documentation. Advanced Excel • Build and maintain advanced Excel workbooks using formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, Power Pivot, and macros/VBA. • Create dynamic financial and operational models for forecasting and budgeting. • Automate recurring reports and ensure data reconciliation. Tableau Development • Design and maintain dashboards that communicate KPIs and insights effectively. • Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and visualization standards. • Optimize dashboards for performance and usability. Unidash Reporting • Develop and manage reports and dashboards within Unidash. • Integrate Unidash data with Excel and Tableau outputs for cohesive reporting. • Troubleshoot discrepancies and document reporting logic. Cost Analysis & Financial Reporting • Conduct detailed cost analysis and variance reporting. • Develop cost models for vendor analysis and strategic planning. • Provide data-driven recommendations to leadership. Technical Writing & Documentation • Create and maintain clear documentation including data dictionaries, SOPs, and user guides. • Ensure accuracy and compliance for audit and knowledge transfer purposes. Collaboration & Communication • Partner with finance, operations, procurement, and technology teams. • Present findings confidently and incorporate feedback into improvements. Tools & Technologies • Advanced Microsoft Excel • Tableau (dashboard development and visualization) • Unidash (reporting and dashboard management) Must-Have Skills • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Tableau, and Unidash. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent technical writing and documentation abilities. Nice-to-Have Skills • Experience with additional data visualization or reporting tools. • Familiarity with cost modeling and financial analysis.
