Role description
Piper Companies is seeking a Data Analyst to support a nonprofit organization within the education technologies and services industry for a 6 month contract-to-hire term remote role based in East Coast. The Data Analyst role will focus on developing and maintaining dashboards, generating reports, and presenting data insights to a variety of stakeholders.
Responsibilities of the Data Analyst:
• Collect analyze, and interpret data to identify potential areas for improvement, trends in student outcomes, and opportunities to enhance academic programs, student services, and institutional effectiveness.
• Utilize AWS services such as S3, Amazon QuickSight, and Athena to analyze and visualize data, uncover insights, and present meaningful dashboards and reports.
• Serve as a resource for external and internal partners, to provide expertise in data analysis, data mining, metric development, and the effective use of data visualization tools.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and business analysts to maintain compliance with enterprise security and access controls.
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations that provide actionable insights for stakeholders such as institutional clients, business teams, and PKH leadership.
Qualifications of the Data Analyst:
• 5-7 years of previous Data analyst experience
• Proven experience in SQL and Python programing languages for querying, data transformation, and analysis required
• Skilled in translating technical data languages into business recommendations required
• Data analytics and reporting experience required
• AWS services experiences in S3, Amazon QuickSight, and Athena
• Experience creating dashboards, visualizations, reports translating complex data into digestible insights
• Bachelor's degree in business, analytics, data science, or related field
Compensation for the Data Analyst includes:
• Hourly rate: $55 – $56 per hour depending on professional experience
• Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off
