Role description
Job Summary We are looking for a Data Analyst - Product Quality to join our client's team, where they will use advanced data analytics and machine learning to improve vehicle uptime and detect emerging field quality issues. Candidates must have a strong background in a technical quality or engineering environment (ideally automotive or commercial manufacturing) and the ability to work independently across global teams. location: Greensboro, North Carolina job type: Contract salary: $45 - 51 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors Responsibilities You will be part of the product quality organization. Your creative thinking and problem-solving skills will contribute to identifying and solving complex quality challenges through data mining and optimization. You will be actively working with quality issue management and ways to increase vehicle uptime for our client's customers. Key Responsibilities End-to-End Analytics: Execute all steps of an analytics assignment ranging from fundamental to advanced statistical techniques, including data & business value exploration, data structuring, modeling, problem-solving, and presenting recommendations. Methodology Development: Develop & implement methodologies to assist Product Quality Leaders in emerging issue detection, forecasting, and predicting quality & uptime performance. Diverse Data Sources: Work with various data sources including, but not limited to, warranty claims, logged vehicle telematics, customer data, manufacturing data, and high-resolution vehicle data. Global Collaboration: Deliver all steps independently while establishing a strong network by working closely with international colleagues on global initiatives. Cross-Functional Teamwork: Collaborate closely with other Data Analysts, Data Engineers, Data Architects, and Data Scientists during the implementation and deployment of advanced analytics solutions. Qualifications 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst in the automotive or commerical manufacturing industry. Technical Stack: High proficiency in Power BI, SQL, and Python (or R), along with exposure to cloud environments (Azure, Spark, Jupyter). Machine Learning: Working knowledge of supervised/unsupervised ML algorithms (e.g., K-means, Random Forest, anomaly detection, regression). Data Experience: Familiarity with heavy data environments like warranty claims, manufacturing metrics, and vehicle telematics/logged data. Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or Statistics.
