Role description
Growth Team Data Analyst (Contract)
Data Analytics | Product & Growth Insights
• Corp to Corp candidates not accepted
We are seeking a Growth Data Science Analyst to support product adoption, engagement, retention, and expansion analytics. This is an individual contributor role focused on working with very large datasets to understand how customers are using (or not using) product features and to surface actionable insights that drive adoption.
The ideal candidate is a strong SQL analyst who is equally comfortable building dashboards and doing deep analysis, and who can clearly explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
What You’ll Do
• Analyze large‑scale product usage data to understand feature adoption, engagement, retention, and expansion
• Identify why customers are not using certain features and where opportunities exist to drive increased adoption
• Write complex SQL queries across multiple Snowflake schemas to merge and transform data
• Build and maintain Tableau dashboards from scratch to make data accessible and actionable
• Partner with stakeholders to answer key questions such as:
• Which features customers are using vs. not using
• Where in the customer lifecycle adoption drops off
• When and how to introduce features to maximize usage
• Perform ad‑hoc and exploratory analysis to support growth and product decisions
• Translate analytical findings into clear insights for non‑technical audiences
Core Requirements (What Actually Matters)
• 3+ years of experience in data analytics, product analytics, marketing analytics, growth analytics, or data science
• Strong SQL expertise — ability to confidently write, explain, and optimize complex queries
• Hands‑on experience working with large datasets in a modern data warehouse (Snowflake preferred)
• Experience building dashboards in Tableau (primary BI tool)
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross‑functional teams
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts (e.g., joins) in plain language
Nice to Have (Not Required)
• Experience with Snowflake pipelines or lightweight ETL
• Familiarity with Mixpanel or other product analytics tools
• Exposure to A/B testing or experimentation analysis
• Experience in a B2B or SaaS environment
• Experience with Python or R (helpful but not required)
Note: This role is intentionally focused on SQL + Tableau + analysis. Advanced machine learning is not required.
Compensation & Benefits
• Hourly Rate: $65–$70 per hour, depending on experience
• Benefits include:
• Medical, dental, and vision insurance
• 401(k) eligibility
• Opportunity to work on high‑visibility, growth‑focused initiatives
• Exposure to large‑scale data and business‑critical analytics
