Data Architect Weehawken, NJ Hybrid (flexible remote options) $70 - $80 per hour (6-month contract) About The Role Our client is seeking an accomplished Data Architect for a 6-month contract based in Weehawken, NJ, with flexible remote work options. This role is pivotal in leading the end-to-end architecture of web analytics and data platforms, with a primary focus on Adobe Analytics, Launch, and WebSDK. You will drive platform migrations, tagging governance, and the design of frameworks for cross-platform data reconciliation and AI-driven insight generation. The Data Architect will set governance standards, define KPI continuity for platform transitions, and architect modern data platforms on GCP. You will also lead the evolution of analytics reporting toward AI-driven, self-service insights, and ensure robust documentation and governance. This position requires strong technical leadership, the ability to mentor teams, and a collaborative approach to partnering with senior stakeholders on strategic decisions. What You'll Do • Own end-to-end architecture across Adobe Analytics, Launch, and WebSDK, including migration/measurement design for platform transitions (e.g., Shopify), data layer standards, and tagging governance • Architect cross-platform parity and reconciliation frameworks across Adobe Analytics, Dynamic Yield, and Content Square, including event definitions, variance thresholds, and root-cause analysis methodologies to distinguish tool differences from true data defects • Set report suite, taxonomy, and governance standards for execution teams, ensuring consistency and compliance • Design agentic AI insight generation architecture (e.g., Gemini or equivalent), including semantic/metrics layers, prompt and threshold governance, deterministic-query-vs-LLM-reasoning boundaries, and feedback loops for self-improving accuracy • Define pre/post-migration KPI continuity and validation frameworks for platform cutovers (traffic, conversion, revenue attribution), including rollback and risk-mitigation criteria • Architect modern data platforms on GCP (BigQuery, data pipelines/warehouse strategy) and partner on Tableau dashboard architecture, including semantic layer design, data source setup/management, and dashboard portfolio governance • Architect server-side tag management using middleware for first-party data collection, server-side Launch/WebSDK routing, and vendor tag offloading to improve performance, data ownership, and privacy compliance • Define SQL query standards and modeling patterns supporting reporting, parity validation, and agentic pipelines at scale • Set architecture and evaluation standards for integrated marketing/paid channel data (Google Ads, Meta, SA360) and third-party app/pixel integrations • Shape the web analytics roadmap for evolving reporting from dashboard-based to AI-driven, self-service insight generation • Set technical direction and standards; mentor and review offshore/execution team implementation work • Partner with senior stakeholders on platform roadmap and build-vs-buy decisions • Work independently and asynchronously, with full ownership of technical direction • Drive documentation as a governance artifact, including standards, playbooks, and decision records What You Bring • 8+ years of experience in web analytics and platform architecture, including 5+ years in an architect capacity • Expertise in Adobe Analytics, Launch, WebSDK, and platform migration/measurement design • Proven ability to architect cross-platform parity and reconciliation frameworks (Adobe Analytics, Dynamic Yield, Content Square) • Experience setting report suite, taxonomy, and governance standards for execution teams • Ability to design agentic AI insight generation architecture (e.g., Gemini or equivalent), including semantic/metrics layers and feedback loops • Skilled in defining KPI continuity and validation frameworks for platform cutovers • Hands-on experience architecting data platforms on GCP (BigQuery, data pipelines/warehouse strategy) • Proficiency in Tableau dashboard architecture, semantic layer design, and governance • Experience with server-side tag management and middleware architecture for data collection and privacy compliance • 5+ years in data infrastructure and insights automation, including SQL query standards and modeling patterns • Knowledge of integrated marketing/paid channel data architecture (Google Ads, Meta, SA360) and third-party integrations • Ability to shape web analytics roadmaps toward AI-driven, self-service insight generation • Demonstrated leadership in setting technical direction, mentoring teams, and partnering with senior stakeholders • Strong documentation skills for governance (standards, playbooks, decision records) • Ability to work independently and asynchronously with full ownership of technical direction Disclaimer Brooksource, Medasource, and Calculated Hire are part of the Eight Eleven Group family of companies and operate under Eight Eleven Group, LLC.
