Data Analyst

Job Description The Data Audit & Systems Analyst is responsible for reviewing, organizing, and modernizing existing data across the organization. This role will inventory data currently stored in PDFs, paper files, spreadsheets, and legacy systems, support the conversion of records into digital formats, and document what legacy and GIS systems are currently in use. The findings from this work will support future system modernization, data governance, and operational improvements. Required Skills and Experience • Experience conducting data audits, records inventories, or data cleanup efforts • Ability to review and extract information from PDFs, scanned documents, and paper records • Experience converting or migrating data into digital or virtual systems • Understanding of legacy systems and basic system documentation • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple departments • Clear written communication skills for documenting findings and recommendations Nice to Have Skills and Experience • Familiarity with GIS systems, geospatial data, or mapping tools • Experience working in a municipal, public sector, utilities, or public works environment • Knowledge of document management systems or data governance practices • Experience supporting system modernization or digital transformation initiatives • Basic technical understanding of databases or enterprise systems
