Role description
Our client, the U.S.’s largest commercial real estate services firm, is seeking a Data Analyst to support a large-scale data management project focused on laboratory equipment operations. This 4-month remote contract opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented data professional who enjoys working with large datasets, improving processes, and translating data into actionable business insights. The successful candidate will partner closely with the hiring manager and a team of data analysts while supporting operational initiatives through reporting, analysis, and vendor coordination. Schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, candidates located in the Eastern or Central time zones are preferred.
Responsibilities
• Analyze, aggregate, and manage large datasets to support business operations and decision-making.
• Perform data mining and research related to laboratory equipment maintenance and operational performance.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations that clearly communicate key findings and business insights.
• Build compelling data-driven narratives to support operational recommendations and process improvements.
• Assist with vendor management activities and maintain accurate operational data.
• Coordinate data collection, validation, cleansing, and standardization efforts to ensure data integrity.
• Perform ad hoc analysis using structured and unstructured data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Support the development and improvement of reporting processes and data workflows.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve existing processes and recommend new solutions.
• Present findings and recommendations to business partners in a clear and understandable manner.
Must Have Qualifications
• 4-7 years of experience in data analysis, business analysis, or a related field.
• Exceptional attention to detail with strong accuracy and organizational skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience analyzing data and presenting findings in a meaningful, business-focused way.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain and "tell the story" behind the data.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Nice to Have Qualifications
• Experience with pharmaceutical equipment management or laboratory operations.
• Vendor management experience.
• Experience using Smartsheet.
• Background in process improvement initiatives.
• Experience supporting operations or facilities management teams.
