Role description
Role Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst with strong Salesforce platform expertise to support data management, reporting, and process optimization initiatives. This role focuses on maintaining data integrity, building insightful reports/dashboards, and ensuring smooth data operations within Salesforce and related systems. The ideal candidate combines technical Salesforce knowledge with strong analytical thinking and high accuracy in data handling. Key Responsibilities • Manage and maintain Salesforce data with accuracy and consistency • Perform data entry, cleansing, and validation • Create and maintain custom reports and dashboards • Analyze datasets to identify trends, gaps, and inconsistencies • Support data imports/exports and integrations • Troubleshoot reporting discrepancies • Document processes and reporting standards • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve data workflows Salesforce Platform Proficiency • 2+ years of experience with Salesforce Lightning and/or Classic • Understanding of Objects, Fields, Record Types, Page Layouts • Experience with custom objects and relationships (lookup/master-detail) Data Entry & Management • Accurate and efficient data handling • Experience with Data Loader / Data Import Wizard • Knowledge of validation rules and duplicate management Reporting & Dashboards • Experience creating reports using Salesforce Report Builder • Dashboard creation with filters and summary formulas • Knowledge of standard vs. custom report types Excel & Data Tools • Intermediate to advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formatting) • Familiarity with Google Sheets or similar tools Analytical Skills • Strong attention to detail • High accuracy in reporting • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills • Understanding of Salesforce data flow • Process documentation capabilities Preferred Qualifications • Experience working with government, arts, or cultural organizations • Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) experience • Experience Cloud familiarity • Basic knowledge of APIs and integrations
