Role description
Graduate Analyst – Timberland Team (9-month Fixed Term Contract)
Location: London (Covent Garden / Leicester Square area)
Salary: £30,000 – £40,000
I am recruiting on behalf of a leading investment and private equity firm seeking to appoint two Graduate Analysts to join their Timberland team in London on a 9-month fixed term contract, with the potential for extension.
This role provides an excellent opportunity for a graduate to gain exposure within a specialist investment team, supporting fundraising, portfolio management and client servicing activities across global timberland investments.
Role Overview
The successful candidates will support a broad range of activities, including:
• Supporting the Timberland team’s client relations process from fundraising through to ongoing client servicing
• Evaluating and reporting on timberland portfolios, including KPIs relating to forest asset valuations, cashflows, wood product markets and sustainability metrics
• Conducting research into global timberland and wood product markets
• Preparing client-ready written communications (emails, reports and presentations) explaining forestry, wood product markets and the timberland asset class
• Producing detailed and accurate responses to client enquiries and Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
• Supporting wider team activities, including portfolio management and transaction-related work
Candidate Profile
My client is seeking candidates who can demonstrate:
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or a related discipline; Data Analytics; or Natural Resources / Environmental studies
• Some relevant experience gained within asset management, consulting or a comparable industry (internships welcomed)
• Strong Excel modelling and PowerPoint presentation skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
