Data Analyst-Supply Chain
Katy, TX -Onsite 5 days a week
long-term contract with option to hire
Education/Experience Required: A minimum of 4 years of experience in data analytics, with a proven ability to mine, evaluate, and visualize data
Job Description & Responsibilities :
• Collaborate with users to gather requirements, ensure data solutions meet business needs, and maintain strong relationships across departments
• Create comprehensive reports based on data mining, analysis, and visualization to support business decisions
• Define, standardize, and document Supply chain KPIs by consulting respective business leaders
• Create and maintain interactive data visualizations from multiple data sources, helping decision-makers understand key metrics and KPIs
• Analyze data to answer key questions and provide strategic recommendations to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Proactively monitor and resolve data integrity issues in data models and dashboards.
• Analyze Supply Chain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), conduct root cause analyses, and provide reports and/or recommendations to support decision making.
• Train other team members on the analytical models and business processes assigned.
• Develop, refine, and communicate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure Supply Chain operational performance.
Skills & Qualifications :
• Bachelor's degree
• Experience in data modeling
• Previous experience with advanced analytical tools, preferably MicroStrategy, Power BI, and Cognos BI (SCI Manhattan Active)
• Experience in the distribution, logistics, or retail industry.
• Ability to gather requirements, structure analysis, and present the findings to senior leadership
• Ability to transform raw data into meaningful insights that drive business performance.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a proactive approach to analyzing data and identifying efficiency opportunities.
• Working knowledge of Enterprise systems (Manhattan WMS/Oracle Transportation Management/Oracle RMS), Business Intelligence systems (MicroStrategy), SQL.
• Ability to understand retail merchandise hierarchy, store network, and organizational structure.
