In This Role You Will:

   • Provide database and analytical support for multiple initiatives, projects, and programs.

   • Potentially supervise staff, assign work, monitor activities, evaluate performance and manage escalated/critical issues.

   • Administer employment actions, provide coaching and guidance to staff and promote staff training and development.

   • Design, implement, and deliver standard and ad hoc reports, exception reports, measurements, and analyses to support customer-focused, data-driven analysis.

   • Perform routine and ad hoc data analyses using appropriate statistical methods and graphical display standards.

   • Retrieve and analyze data and present reports to management for use in supporting operations and business objectives.

   • Analyze, summarize and present information and data for discussion and decision making.

   • Provide recommendations for improvement and written documentation that relates to the analysis of the data.

   • Research data anomalies and issues.

   • Work with data source systems and target systems to identify data issues and data gaps.

   • Potentially track status and develop/update data source systems and target systems.

   • Identify and recommend solutions as needed.

   • Construct and apply statistical and/or financial models to support strategic initiatives.

   • Collect financial and other data from numerous sources in various formats and translate it into a standard format.

   • Develop predictive models for market segmentation, customer behavior, opportunity targeting, and marketing programs.

   • Perform second and third level drilldowns to add insight and understanding of results and support effective business decision making.

   • Develop in-depth/advanced knowledge of various customer information systems and databases utilized by functional groups (SAP, Issue Tracking, CMS, Oracle, Beacon, etc.).

   • Identify, recommend and/or implement ways to leverage systems to drive customer-focused, data-driven analysis that enable continual improvement.

   • Provide technical project leadership in major reporting systems development as needed.

   • Develop substantial statistical protocols and/or Lean, Six Sigma, Continual Improvement projects in a technical or transactional environment.

   • Provide systems training and support to users and serve as an internal consultant on customer data management and customer data quality management.

   • Mentor, coach and train other data analysts in data analysis methods and tools.

   • Identify, recommend and drive continuous improvement in database reporting and analysis processes.

   • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed:

   • Strong/extensive knowledge of data management systems such as SAP, Oracle and Beacon, LIMS, etc. and data quality management

   • Strong/advanced knowledge of data, databases, and their manipulation (SQL, Pivot Tables, etc); advanced Access, Excel, Business Objects and statistical software (JMP, Minitab, SAS)

   • Strong/advanced knowledge of statistical methods used for data analysis; SPC, descriptive statistics, basic statistical tests such as t tests, ANOVA, MTBF, Confidence Intervals, etc.

   • Solid understanding of good graphical display standards and various graphical techniques

   • Ability to quickly learn and leverage various software tools and systems

   • Ability to frame a complex diagnostic question appropriately, develop an analytical strategy, assemble the relevant data and results to clearly communicate a coherent set of conclusions.

   • Demonstrated project management skills.

   • Can lead own projects and manage or coach other’s projects from concept to successful implementation.

   • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

   • Ability to present information to all levels of the organization.

   • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate, coach, mentor and resolve conflict
