Role description
Our client, a leading organization in the industry, is seeking a Business Data Analyst to join their team. As a Business Data Analyst, you will be part of the Technology organization supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, and excellent communication abilities, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Business Data Analyst Location: Baltimore, MD Pay Range: 40-45/hr depending on years of experience What's the Job? โ€ข Define and translate business needs for new and enhanced products, services, or optimized business processes. โ€ข Participate in all phases of the project lifecycle to ensure business requirements, including detailed data requirements, are understood, documented, and met. โ€ข Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze, interpret, and leverage data to improve business processes. โ€ข Support migration of legacy systems to cloud-based solutions, ensuring seamless transition and integration. โ€ข Formulate and implement effective test strategies to validate solutions and ensure quality standards are met. What's Needed? โ€ข Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field. โ€ข Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst with a proven track record of successful project delivery. โ€ข Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, applications, and platforms. โ€ข Experience with gathering, documenting, and analyzing system specifications, testing concepts, and SDLC processes (Agile Scrum, Waterfall). โ€ข Proficiency with data analysis tools and software, including SQL, Informatica PowerCenter, Autosys, and cloud platforms like Snowflake and S3.
