Role description
Business/Data Analyst Location: Charlotte, NC Hybrid: 4 days/week in office, 1 day remote 6-month contract w/ option to extend Overview • We are seeking a Data / Business Analyst to support a large-scale program focused on managing and analyzing subsidy-related data. This role sits at the intersection of business and data, requiring strong collaboration with stakeholders while performing hands-on analysis to ensure data accuracy and reporting integrity. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working with data pipelines and SQL, and able to translate business needs into actionable insights. Job Responsibilities • Partner with business stakeholders to gather, interpret, and translate requirements into clear technical specifications • Analyze large datasets using SQL to support reporting, financial reconciliation, and data validation efforts • Ensure accuracy and consistency of data across ingestion pipelines and data warehouse environments • Support data workflows and pipeline processes, identifying and resolving data quality issues • Generate reports and insights to support compliance, operations, and business decision-making • Act as a bridge between business and technical teams to ensure alignment and successful execution Skills Required • 1–3 years of experience in a combined Data Analyst and/or Business Analyst role • Strong SQL skills with experience querying and analyzing structured datasets • Experience working with Postgres SQL or similar data warehouse environments (preferred) • Familiarity with ETL processes and/or data pipeline tools (e.g., Apache NiFi preferred) • Excellent attention to detail, especially in data accuracy and validation • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical and non-technical requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Finance, or related field • Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP) are a plus Eight Eleven Group provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, citizenship, disability, genetic information, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, amnesty or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
