Role description
A Local Authority are looking for a detail-focused and highly organised Data Analyst to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in managing, maintaining and improving the quality of property data that supports strategic decision-making and service delivery across the organisation.
You will be responsible for ensuring that property information is accurate, accessible and audit-ready, while working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to provide high-quality insight and reporting.Key Responsibilities
• Maintain, update and quality assure property data within departmental databases
• Manage end-to-end property information processing, including data input, validation, cleansing and digitisation
• Produce performance reports and insight analysis to support planning and decision-making
• Support the development and implementation of policies, frameworks and systems that drive continuous improvement
• Ensure strong information governance and act as a gatekeeper for data accuracy
• Work collaboratively across departments to support business planning and corporate objectives
• Provide a high standard of customer service to internal and external stakeholders
• Prepare information for audit purposes and ensure full traceability of data
• Assist with the development and monitoring of property investment plans and programmes
• Conduct regular data reviews, reconcile information across systems and resolve discrepancies
• Contribute to effective complaints handling, resident engagement and equality and diversity commitments
• Undertake additional duties appropriate to the level and scope of the role
Skills & Experience
• Experienced in data analysis or performance reporting, in housing, local government, or a similar service-focused environment
• A confident user of tools like Power BI, Excel, and Purview with strong data modelling and dashboard design skills
• Previous housing database management experience.
