β’ Position Overview:
Seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Entry-Level Data Analyst to support our Research & Development (R&D) team. This role is ideal for recent graduates with a four-year degree in Science, Engineering, or Information Technology who are looking to build a foundational career in data analysis, regulatory reporting, and technical documentation within a dynamic R&D environment.
The Data Analyst will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, traceability, and compliance of product information by maintaining technical specifications, supporting packaging sustainability reporting, and responding to internal and external technical information requests.
Responsibilities
β’ Collect, analyze, and report state-specific EPR metrics for packaging materials in compliance with participating U.S. state regulations.
β’ Maintain accurate data sets related to packaging weights, material composition, recyclability, and program classifications.
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Packaging, Sustainability, Procurement, Finance) to ensure timely, accurate submissions.
β’ Support continuous improvement in reporting processes and data systems.
β’ Maintain and update product, ingredient, and packaging specifications within internal technical systems.
β’ Ensure data accuracy for material properties, regulatory compliance information, allergens, certifications, and other relevant technical attributes.
β’ Assist with the creation, revision, and governance of specification documents following R&D and corporate quality standards.
β’ Respond to internal and customer-facing requests for technical data, product attributes, regulatory information, certifications, and other R&D-driven inquiries.
β’ Coordinate with SMEs (Food Scientists, Packaging Engineers, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance) to validate and compile accurate responses.
β’ Track, organize, and improve processes for handling incoming information requests.
Qualifications
β’ Bachelorβs degree (B.S.) in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related STEM field.
β’ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
β’ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; comfort working with data tables, formulas, and structured datasets.
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
β’ Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
β’ Willingness to learn regulatory, sustainability, and specification management concepts.
Preferred
β’ Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
β’ Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) or specification management systems.
β’ Knowledge of packaging materials, food product development, or sustainability reporting (helpful but not required).
β’ Exposure to ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is a plus.
