Role description
Data Analyst – IT III (W2 Contract) 📍 Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid – Willis Tower) HYBRID: 2 days remote (currently Tues and Weds). This may change based on direction from leadership. ⏳ Duration: 6 months (possible extension) 💼 Client: Major U.S. Airline 🔎 Project: Digital Technology – Product Analytics Team About the Role We are seeking a highly analytical and self-driven Data Analyst – IT III to join the Digital Technology Product Analytics team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, can independently identify opportunities, and enjoys working with large-scale datasets to drive business insights. You will work closely with product stakeholders to uncover trends, influence decisions, and tell stories through data—without relying on predefined user requirements. Key Responsibilities • Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, issues, and optimization opportunities. • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all platforms. • Develop, automate, and optimize large datasets for analysis and reporting. • Conduct exploratory data analysis, data mining, and build visualizations to support business decisions. • Work independently to propose ideas, solve evolving business problems, and act as a thought leader. • Apply tools such as SQL, Quantum Metrics, and BI platforms to deliver actionable insights. Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field. • 5+ years of experience in Data Analytics, BI Development, or similar analytical roles. • Expert-level SQL experience working with large datasets (400M+ rows per day). • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data manipulation skills. • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Spotfire, Excel). • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. • Excellent communication skills to present complex insights to diverse stakeholders. • Experience with Quantum Metrics is strongly preferred. • Experience with Akamai, Dynatrace, or Python is a plus.
