Role: Data Analyst
Type: 6 Month Contract (With Likely Extensions + Possibility of FTE Conversion)
Location: Atlanta Metro Area (In-office Monday through Friday)
About the Opportunity
Insure Technology is partnering with a leading enterprise in the financial services space to identify a talented Data Analyst with deep experience in payments, banking data, and analytics-driven insights. This is a high-impact, hands-on role for a data professional passionate about uncovering patterns, generating insights, and driving data commercialization initiatives across complex financial ecosystems.
What Youβll Do
β’ Analyze payment and banking transactions across multiple data sources to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
β’ Work with 3β5 years of historical transaction data (digital banking, ACH, wire, check, and external data) to generate both macro- and micro-level analytics.
β’ Lead end-to-end analytics projects: from requirements gathering and exploratory data analysis to feature engineering and insight delivery.
β’ Utilize tools and frameworks such as Spark, Dask, scikit-learn, and Pandas to perform large-scale data processing and statistical analysis.
β’ Build and maintain data visualizations, dashboards, and reports using Power BI or Tableau to effectively communicate findings to executives and business stakeholders.
β’ Partner cross-functionally with business, product, and engineering teams to translate insights into strategic and operational outcomes.
What Youβll Need to Have
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
β’ 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Data Scientist, or Data Engineer.
β’ 3+ years in the payments or banking industry, with strong knowledge of core banking, digital banking, ACH, wire, and check processing.
β’ Advanced proficiency in SQL and a computing language such as Python or R.
β’ Experience working with data platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, Azure, or NoSQL databases.
β’ Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; able to convey analytical findings in clear, business-relevant terms.
What Would Be Great to Have
β’ Masterβs degree in a related field.
β’ Expertise in digital payments, bill pay, ACH, wire, card, and check transaction data.
β’ Experience with statistical analysis and machine learning techniques (e.g., regression, clustering, classification, time series).
β’ Familiarity with ML Ops frameworks (MLFlow, Kubeflow, Azure ML, or SageMaker).
β’ Exposure to generative AI or large language model (LLM) applications in analytics environments.
