Data Analyst - Project Operations Support

Data Analyst (Project Management Support) We're working with a leading engineering and energy organization seeking a Data Analyst to support a large-scale project management team on long-term infrastructure and construction projects. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who enjoys working with data, reporting, and project operations. You'll partner with Project Managers to track KPIs, identify performance trends, and help improve project execution across a portfolio of major capital projects. Location: Schenectady, NY (preferred) Exceptional candidates in Atlanta, GA may also be considered. Responsibilities • Analyze project data and key performance indicators (KPIs). • Prepare recurring reports and dashboards for project leadership. • Identify performance trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. • Partner with Project Managers to track action items and corrective action plans. • Maintain reporting accuracy and ensure data integrity. • Support operational reporting and continuous improvement initiatives. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide timely project insights. Qualifications • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Finance, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent experience). • 0–3 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, project coordination, operations, or business support. • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, formulas, filtering, etc.). • Excellent organizational and communication skills. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Experience • Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools. • Experience with KPI reporting or operational metrics. • Project support or project management experience. • Basic SQL knowledge is a plus.
