Schedule: Monday-Friday | Standard Business Hours
Duration: 12-Month Contract (Potential Extension)
Our client is seeking a Data Analyst to join a growing team supporting construction operations and project planning. This is a newly created position due to increased workflow and offers the opportunity to work closely with operational teams to help prioritize projects using data-driven insights.
This role is ideal for someone with a few years of professional experience who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and partnering with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze operational and project data to support business decisions and project prioritization.
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations for internal stakeholders.
• Extract, manipulate, and validate data using SQL and Excel.
• Identify trends and provide actionable recommendations to improve planning and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with business partners to understand reporting requirements and translate them into meaningful insights.
• Support ongoing reporting, ad hoc analysis, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Ensure data accuracy and maintain reporting standards across multiple data sources.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-7 years of professional data analysis experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, large datasets, formulas).
• Strong SQL experience for querying and analyzing data.
• Experience building dashboards using Tableau or Power BI.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting construction, engineering, utilities, infrastructure, or other field operations environments.
• Familiarity with GIS, LiDAR, point cloud data, or other geospatial datasets.
• Experience working with large operational datasets and project prioritization.
