Role description
Our mission is to open the door to the life-changing impact of education. We build market-leading, online college credit and test-preparation solutions that help working adults earn their degrees, advance their careers, and achieve economic mobility. Recognized by Fast Company and GSV 150 as one of the worldβs most innovative education companies, we are also at the forefront of AI-first learning, combining artificial intelligence with the latest learning science to improve access and outcomes at scale.
Our product is our impact. Through our Keys to College and Keys to the Classroom initiatives, we have saved students over $700 million in tuition and enabled hundreds of thousands of learners to pursue and succeed in careers across nursing, teaching, counseling, business, and other high-demand fields. We are deeply focused on measurable outcomes and building products that create meaningful, lasting change in peopleβs lives.
Data Analyst SME β AI Workflow Training
Analysts everywhere are figuring out AI in real time β sometimes well, often messy. Study.com is building the training that gets working analysts up that curve, and we're looking for a practitioner-teacher to help shape it.
This is a remote contract role up to 20 hours per week. You'll work alongside our content team to design, structure, and produce training that helps real analysts (why: the word βrealβ) integrate AI into their day-to-day workflows. We want someone with a strong point of view and a track record of teaching others β not just a producer executing a spec.
What you'll do
β’ Partner with our content team to shape the curriculum βshare expert judgment on what working analysts actually need to learn, and advise on the tools and features required to teach AI-assisted analysis effectively.
β’ Design step-by-step walkthroughs and record video demos that show AI tools applied to real analyst workflows
β’ Distinguish features (things AI lets you do that you couldn't before) from efficiencies (things AI lets you do faster) β and help us teach the difference
β’ Pressure-test course content for skills alignment: does this cover what a learner actually needs to complete the task? What's missing, mis-sequenced, or tangential?
β’ Record, edit, and deliver publish-ready instructional videos per our format and quality specs
Must-haves
β’ 5+ years of hands-on Data Analyst experience in industry (not purely academic), currently working in the field or with hands-on experience within the last 2 years
β’ Demonstrated experience teaching, mentoring, or training other analysts (bonus if this is on AI tooling or integration)
β’ Show us your work: a portfolio of instructional video β walkthroughs, recorded trainings, talks, internal demos, a YouTube channel, anything that proves you've made teaching content before
β’ Production self-sufficient: you own (or have access to) your preferred screen recording and editing tools β Camtasia, Loom, OBS, ScreenFlow, your call β and can deliver edited, publish-ready files without us providing software or hardware
β’ Teaching presence on mic or on camera: you pace narration so a learner can follow, don't bury the lesson in filler, and sound like an instructor who's done this before
β’ You can point to specific analyses where AI tools changed how you worked β and articulate where they helped vs. where they didn't
β’ Proficiency in SQL (intermediate to advanced), Python or R, and at least one BI tool (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or equivalent)
β’ Strong written communication: clear, accurate, well-organized
Bonus
β’ Experience designing or delivering structured training programs (curriculum design, learning objectives, assessment)
β’ Exposure to 2+ industry verticals (finance, healthcare, marketing, ops, SaaS, etc.)
β’ Working knowledge of statistical concepts: distributions, hypothesis testing, regression, A/B testing
β’ Advanced Excel or Google Sheets
β’ Bachelor's preferred β quantitative or technical field (Statistics, CS, Economics, Math, or related) β or equivalent professional experience
How to Apply
Along with your rΓ©sumΓ©, please send a 2β3 minute Loom (or similar) walking us through one analyst workflow where you used AI tools. Show us how you think, not just what you've shipped.
