Role description
Data Analyst – SQL & Reporting Migration Location: Fully Remote Duration: 6-Month initial contract IR35 Status: Inside IR35 - £350 p/d We are supporting a large-scale transformation programme seeking an experienced Data Analyst to support a high-volume reporting migration project. This role is ideal for someone with strong SQL and reporting experience who enjoys structured, detail-oriented work and can confidently validate and reconcile reporting outputs during migration activity. The Role You will work closely with reporting, data, and service teams to support the migration of legacy reports into a new reporting environment. The focus will be on extracting existing SQL logic, recreating reports, validating outputs, and maintaining accurate migration tracking. This is a hands-on delivery role suited to a technically capable analyst who is comfortable working through repeatable migration activities while ensuring data quality and reporting accuracy. Key Responsibilities • Analyse and extract SQL from existing reports • Recreate reports within a new reporting platform • Validate migrated report outputs against legacy reports • Investigate and troubleshoot data discrepancies • Maintain migration trackers, validation logs, and progress updates • Support testing and business validation activities • Escalate issues and blockers where required • Collaborate with data, reporting, and delivery teams throughout the migration process Skills & Experience Required • Strong SQL skills • Experience working with reporting tools such as: • Business Objects • SSRS • Power BI • Crystal Reports • Similar reporting platforms • Experience validating data and troubleshooting reporting issues • Comfortable working within structured processes and delivery plans • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills • Ability to manage workload independently while working collaboratively with wider teams Desirable Experience • Experience supporting report migration or transformation programmes • Public sector or housing sector experience • Exposure to data migration or systems migration projects We are looking for someone who is: • Detail-oriented and methodical • Comfortable handling high-volume, repeatable work • Proactive in tracking progress and raising issues • Collaborative and delivery-focused • Adaptable within a fast-paced project environment
