Role description
Job Title: Data Analyst
Location: London (Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week)
Contract Duration: 6-12 months (with possible extension)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join the RCMS Project, which supports frontline business units on the Salesforce platform.
The program’s objective is to simplify and standardize the client’s data and technology landscape—making it more robust, cost-efficient, and easier to support.
The Data Analyst will be part of the data remediation workstream, focusing on improving data quality, accuracy, and governance across key business systems.
This role provides an opportunity to make a tangible impact on one of the client’s most critical enterprise platforms, driving improved decision-making and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
• Work within a data remediation team to simplify and optimize a complex Salesforce data model.
• Participate in workshops with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to capture requirements, understand current challenges, and assess business impacts.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Data Architects to ensure alignment between business requirements and target data models.
• Conduct reverse engineering of Salesforce data objects, relationships, and data flows to identify redundancies, inconsistencies, and improvement areas.
• Design the target-state data model, performing gap analysis between the current and future state while assessing business impact.
• Create and maintain data dictionaries, lineage documentation, taxonomies, and reference/master data frameworks.
• Contribute to data governance, metadata management, and standards for ongoing data quality improvement.
Required Skills & Experience
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in data transformation, remediation, or governance projects.
• Strong data modeling expertise (3NF, Star/Snowflake, Data Vault 2.0) using tools like erwin, PowerDesigner, or Sparx EA.
• Experience creating and maintaining data dictionaries, taxonomies, and master/reference data assets.
• Understanding of Salesforce data structures and CRM-related data flows.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across business and IT teams.
Desirable Skills
• Exposure to ETL/ELT processes, data warehouses, or lakehouse architectures.
• Experience in data lineage documentation (e.g., Solidatus, Collibra) and impact analysis.
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA DMBOK) and data quality management principles.
• Knowledge of privacy and security-by-design concepts, including PII handling and access controls (RBAC).
• Exposure to Salesforce data integration and metadata management.
Why Join This Project
• Work on a high-impact, data-driven Salesforce transformation within a major UK financial institution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional data and business teams to shape future data strategy.
• Gain hands-on experience with complex data modeling, lineage, and governance frameworks.
• Strong potential for extension and long-term engagement.
