Job Title: Systems Operations Engineer / Power BI Analyst
Location: Charlotte, NC | Chandler, AZ | Dallas (Las Colinas), TX
Duration: 24 Months (W2 Contract)
Work Arrangement: Onsite/Hybrid (as required by the client)
Job Summary
We are seeking a Systems Operations Engineer with strong Power BI and data analytics expertise to support a large enterprise technology organization. The ideal candidate will have experience building executive dashboards, analyzing large datasets, and creating meaningful visualizations while leveraging observability tools such as Splunk to monitor infrastructure performance and generate predictive insights.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and executive reports.
• Analyze data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and operational insights.
• Create compelling visualizations and data stories for executive leadership.
• Utilize Splunk or similar observability tools to monitor infrastructure performance and support predictive analytics.
• Perform data modeling, data validation, and report optimization.
• Write and modify SQL queries to extract and analyze data.
• Collaborate with technology, infrastructure, and business teams to gather reporting requirements.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of reporting across multiple data sources.
• Support root cause analysis and operational reporting initiatives.
Required Skills
• 4+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Systems Operations.
• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI (dashboards, reports, DAX, data modeling).
• Hands-on experience with Splunk or another observability platform (Grafana, Datadog, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, etc.).
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring and predictive analytics.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience working with multiple data sources and correlating complex datasets.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
• ServiceNow, Jira, or Confluence reporting experience.
• Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps).
• Banking or Financial Services experience.
• Previous Wells Fargo experience.
• Experience with automation and scheduled data refresh processes.
Ideal Candidate

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
