Role description
The Data Analyst for IT Data Integration & Governance supports Humanaβs enterprise efforts to enhance data accuracy, consistency, and transparency across ServiceNow, Apptio, and related technology platforms. This role blends analytical expertise with a strong understanding of IT service management, financial transparency, and data lifecycle governance to enable actionable insights for leadership and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Develop and maintain data integrations between ServiceNow, Apptio, and other enterprise systems to ensure a single source of truth for IT asset, service, and cost data.
β’ Perform data quality assessments, reconciliations, and validations across CMDB, cost models, and operational datasets.
β’ Support automation and reporting initiatives by building dashboards and analytics within ServiceNow Performance Analytics, Power BI, or Apptio reports.
β’ Partner with Data Governance and IT Finance teams to align data models with enterprise taxonomies, business rules, and compliance standards.
β’ Identify data gaps, define transformation rules, and drive remediation plans to improve accuracy and traceability.
β’ Contribute to the design and rollout of enterprise data governance frameworks, metadata standards, and integration best practices.
β’ Commissioning and decommissioning of data sets.
β’ Processing confidential data and information according to guidelines.
β’ Develop reports and analysis.
β’ Managing and designing the reporting environment, including data sources and metadata.
β’ Supporting initiatives for data integrity and normalization.
β’ Assessing tests and implementing new or upgraded software and assisting with strategic decisions on new systems.
β’ Troubleshooting the reporting database environment and reports.
β’ Evaluating changes and updates to source production systems.
β’ Training end users on new reports and dashboards.
Required Qualifications:
β’ 3β6 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or data governance within IT, finance, or operations domains.
β’ Proficiency in ServiceNow data structures (CMDB, ITSM, or ITAM modules) and reporting.
β’ Experience with Apptio or other IT financial management tools preferred.
β’ Strong SQL, Excel, and Power BI skills; experience with data integrations (APIs, ETL, or data pipelines) a plus.
β’ Understanding of ITIL processes, cost modeling, and technology service taxonomies.
β’ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with ability to translate data into meaningful insights.
β’ Strong Communication skills
β’ Knowledge of Technology Business Management (TBM)
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Experience with data mining and predictive modeling techniques
β’ Ability to use data to drive business outcomes and decisions
β’ Knowledge of Power BI and/or integration with Power BI
