Role description
Our Financial services client in West Houston is looking to add a Data Analyst to their team! This is a long term contract with a hybrid schedule (4 days on site and 1 day work from home). This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional with 2–5 years of experience who is passionate about analytics, business intelligence, and emerging technologies such as AI and automation. You'll work closely with business stakeholders to develop reporting solutions, streamline processes, and deliver meaningful insights that support operational and strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI • Integrate and transform data from multiple SaaS platforms and business systems to create meaningful insights • Publish and manage reporting solutions through enterprise platforms such as SharePoint and internal web portals • Analyze business data using advanced Excel techniques, formulas, and data modeling approaches • Collaborate with business analysts, managers, and operational teams to understand challenges and develop effective solutions • Support the administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of business intelligence and automation tools • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency • Contribute to the adoption of AI, automation technologies, and intelligent workflows across the organization • Deliver user training, documentation, and support to ensure successful adoption of new solutions • Manage multiple priorities while balancing day-to-day operational support with longer-term project initiatives Required Skills & Experience Essential • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline • 2–5 years of experience in a data, analytics, reporting, or automation-focused role • Advanced Power BI expertise, including • Data integration from multiple sources and SaaS platforms • Dashboard development and data visualization • Publishing and sharing enterprise reporting solutions • Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new technologies and platforms • Experience supporting and administering business-critical reporting or technology solutions • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders • Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for developing innovative solutions • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving business priorities Preferred • Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, data analysis, and reporting • Experience with SharePoint and/or PowerApps, including workflow automation and conditional logic • Exposure to AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), or automation technologies • Understanding of system integration and secure enterprise technology environments • Experience managing competing priorities across operational and project-based work
