Data Analyst — Hire to Retire Contract
6 months
Remote (occasional travel to London)
£425/day Inside IR35
You'll work at the heart of a complex transformation programme, ensuring data flows cleanly and accurately across the full HR lifecycle.
The Role As a Data Analyst, you will work closely with IT, HR teams, and other stakeholders across the business to ensure accurate, data-driven decisions and robust integrations throughout the Hire to Retire lifecycle.
Responsibilities
• Write SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyse data from various sources including databases, APIs, and spreadsheets.
• Map, clean, and process data to remove inconsistencies and errors.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify patterns and trends, and make recommendations for master data management.
• Present findings in a clear and actionable way to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with IT and system users to understand business requirements and ensure data accessibility and integrity.
• Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards and regulations, including GDPR.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data issues to detect, resolve, and optimise performance.
• Document data processes and workflows for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience Required
• Proven experience of data analysis within at least 2 large-scale HR system replacement projects where data migration has been required, ideally involving SAP SuccessFactors and Sage People.
• Working experience with data consumed throughout the Hire to Retire value stream.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with SQL and data visualisation tools, ideally Power BI.
• Ability to work with large datasets and extract meaningful insights.
• Excellent communication skills to present data-driven recommendations and complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to interpret data, provide actionable insights, and identify inconsistencies.
• Strong critical thinking: evaluating data objectively and drawing meaningful conclusions.
• Eagerness to learn and stay updated with new data technologies.
Desirable Certifications
• Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300)
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals (DP-900)
