Role description
We are looking for a freelance Data Analyst for a top fashion company in San Francisco, CA! We are seeking a Data Analyst and Data Visualization Specialist to support the Merchandise Planning and Inventory Management data analytics and reporting team. The responsibilities include delivering a suite of analytical products such as analyses, dashboards, insights, and recommendations. Collecting, analyzing, and presenting data to enhance strategic decision-making and tracking the benefits of data products are key aspects of the role.
β’ $40.00-45.00 hourly pay rate
β’ Location: Onsite in San Francisco, CA
Responsibilities:
β’ Conduct analysis on complex retail data, measure and track data created by data products, and convert them into key KPI metrics.
β’ Support business stakeholders and regional data analysts by understanding their needs and providing guidance and support.
β’ Create dashboards to track the adoption and business impact of launched features and data products.
β’ Dive deep into complex business problems, provide insights, and partner with cross-functional teams on implementation.
β’ Collaborate with data science, data analytics, and product managers on planning, goal setting, and prioritization.
β’ Work with data and engineering teams to improve data quality, data analysis, and business debugging.
Required Qualifications:
β’ A Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or Data Engineering (a Master's degree is a plus) or equivalent experience.
β’ Over 3 years of professional experience in analyzing complex data, drawing conclusions, and making recommendations.
β’ More than 3 years of applied data visualization experience, with proficiency in Looker or PowerBI.
β’ At least 3 years of experience in extracting and manipulating large data sets from various relational databases using SQL (experience with Google BigQuery or MSsql).
β’ Experience with data integration tools such as Data Fusion, Alteryx, or Dataiku is a plus.
β’ Coding skills in at least one statistical or programming language (preferably Python or R) to import, summarize, and analyze data is a plus.
