Role description
Data Analyst – Contract | Outside IR35 | £500–£600 per day
• London / Hybrid – predominantly remote
• 6-month rolling contract – anticipated 12–24 month programme

We’re looking for an experienced Data Analyst to join a major transformation programme within the engineering, infrastructure and facilities management (FM) sector
.
This is a hands-on data role with a strong emphasis on data quality, governance, stakeholder management and translating information from multiple sources into clear, usable datasets and business output
s.
You’ll join an established team of approximately 22 people, reporting to the Data Lead. You’ll also be expected to provide cover for the Data Lead when required, so confidence in client-facing meetings, governance forums and senior stakeholder engagement is importa
nt.
The
roleYou’ll be responsible for gathering data from multiple sources, reviewing and cleansing information, converging datasets and ensuring data is managed effectively within a governed environm
ent.
Key responsibilities will inc
lude:
• Collecting, cleansing, validating and analysing data from multiple so
urces
• Converging and reconciling datasets to create accurate and consistent inform
ation
• Developing and maintaining data artefacts, documentation and business
rules
• Identifying data trends, patterns, risks and opportun
ities
• Translating complex data findings into clear, actionable information for stakeho
lders
• Monitoring data quality and driving improvements in accuracy and consis
tency
• Supporting data governance processes, meetings and repo
rting
• Ensuring data activities comply with relevant governance, privacy and security require
ments
• Working closely with Developers, System Test teams, Reporting/KPI teams, Business Analysts, Project Managers and Data Warehouse
teams
• Deputising for the Data Lead during periods of absence and confidently representing the data function in client and governance mee
tings

lders.
You shoul
d have:
• Proven experience in a Data Analyst, BI or similar data-focus
ed role
• Strong experience gathering, cleansing, validating and reconciling data from multiple
sources
• Advanced Microsoft Excel
skills
• Strong working knowledge of the wider Microsof
t suite
• Experience working within structured data governance and data quality envir
onments
• Strong documentation and process-mapping capab
ilities
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder-management
skills
• The confidence to lead or contribute to client-facing and governance m
eetings
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving
skills
Facilities Management industry experience would be highly advantageous, although it is not essential. Experience within complex engineering, infrastructure, outsourced services or similarly stakeholder-heavy environments would also be r
elevant.
The position will be predominantly home-based, with ad hoc travel required for internal and client meetings, largely in and aroun
d London.
