Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Data Analyst to support Marketing & Merchandise initiatives within the C-Shopper Customer Insights platform. This role will work closely with internal teams—including Marketing, Merchandising, Loyalty, Operations, Finance—as well as the 7-Eleven Data team and external partners (Circana/IRI). The analyst will contribute to data analysis efforts, platform support, user engagement, and training to help drive impactful business decisions and increase platform adoption.
Key Responsibilities Data Analysis & Reporting
Interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques.
Develop and implement data analyses, data collection systems, and strategies that improve statistical efficiency and data quality.
Acquire data from primary and secondary sources; manage and maintain databases.
Produce analytics projects and insights to support business objectives, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
Deliver ad-hoc analytic reports and presentations for internal and external user needs.
C-Shopper Platform Support & User Engagement
Work across C-Shopper development initiatives, partnering with internal and external data teams.
Assist in platform enhancements designed to improve user experience and business impact.
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and customer success resource for C-Shopper.
Conduct onsite and online meetings, onboarding sessions, and training for assigned user groups.
Provide Help Desk support, troubleshooting, and ongoing user guidance.
Drive internal adoption of the C-Shopper Customer Insights Portal by showcasing high-value insights and practical use cases.
Deliver best practices related to Customer Insights Reports, assortment tools, pricing/promo modules, and other platform components.
User Group Partnership & Strategy
Act as the voice of the customer to help shape customer-centric sales and marketing strategies.
Provide case studies and examples that guide users in deriving actionable insights.
Support 7-Eleven teams in improving decision-making that leads to customer retention, increased trips, and basket upsell opportunities.
Participate in defining success metrics such as platform impact, usage, user satisfaction, and overall user group productivity.
Conduct evaluations, gather feedback, and communicate findings to improve adoption and performance.
Continuously monitor market and customer trends to identify opportunities to enhance user experience and analytical capabilities.
Team Collaboration & Project Execution
Work closely with C-Shopper team members and Circana counterparts to achieve SME proficiency.
Anticipate and remove barriers to ensure timely project delivery.
Support operational excellence and promote innovation across assigned user groups.
Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in data analysis or related field preferred.
Strong analytical and statistical skills with experience using data tools (Excel, SQL, BI platforms, etc.).
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Ability to conduct training, support users, and work cross-functionally with diverse teams.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience with customer insights, retail analytics, or marketing analytics is a plus.
