Data Analyst

Data Analyst McLean, VA ONSITE 5 days a week LONG TERM CONTRACT....no tenure 2 rounds of interviews (the first virtual/phone and the final onsite) Must have experience in data analysis, advanced SQL, and Python. Experience extracting and analyzing data, building and maintaining data models and working with various data structures and database technologies. Strong communication skills are required and must be able to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders at all levels. Experience with Snowflake and Data bricks is a plus. Experience: 7+ years of experience functioning as a true Data Analyst. Project Management: Foundational project management skills are highly valued. The candidate must be structured, disciplined, and strictly follow a project schedule. Agile and Tools Note: No Agile user story writing required. Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira/Confluence) is not necessary for this role. Technical Stack and Tooling SQL (Must-Have): Advanced capability; must be able to confidently write complex queries from scratch to gather and pull data from enterprise data stores. Python: Used specifically for data processing and analysis. Snowflake: Required familiarity to navigate the data ecosystem. Collibra: Will be utilized heavily for data governance, metadata management, and cataloging. Data Modeling: Preferred, but with a caveat—the candidate will not be building data models from scratch (models are already built in the schema), but they must understand them to validate and register data against them.
