Role description
Contract Analytics Engineer DBT Proficiency Required We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Analytics Engineer to join our dynamic data team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data models and analytics solutions using dbt (data build tool) to support critical business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, analytics, and a deep understanding of dbt best practices. Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain complex data models using dbt, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across the organization • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient data models and analytics solutions • Design and implement data transformation processes to support various analytics use cases, including financial reporting, customer segmentation, and product analytics • Optimize existing dbt models for improved performance and scalability • Implement data quality checks and testing frameworks to ensure the integrity of data models • Create and maintain documentation for data models, processes, and best practices • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of our data engineering practices • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues, ensuring timely resolution of any problems • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in dbt and data engineering best practices • Mentor junior team members and share knowledge across the organization Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field • 3+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics roles • Strong proficiency in dbt, including experience with dbt Core and dbt Cloud • Expert-level SQL skills, with the ability to write complex queries and optimize for performance • Experience with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift • Solid understanding of data modeling concepts, including dimensional modeling and star schemas • Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Preferred Qualifications • Experience with Python or other programming languages for data manipulation and analysis • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI • Knowledge of data governance and data security best practices • Experience with CI/CD pipelines for data projects • Certifications in relevant data technologies (e.g., dbt, Snowflake, AWS, GCP)
