Location: 100% Remote- Oak Park Heights, Minnesota
Overview
Every Turnberry consultant belongs to a practice, an internal group of consultants and leaders with shared experience and expertise. Each of these practices aligns to one of the core services Turnberry offers to clients. As a Data & Analytics Engineer, you will join Turnberry's Data Strategy and Intelligence practice and service. This service provides insights into company data, advanced analytics solutions, robust data governance, and tailored solutions for specific data challenges.
Responsibilities
• Independently design, test and maintain scalable analytical data models; participate in peer code review
• Develop and optimize data pipelines, including UAT for code releases
• Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint goals
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues
• Assist team in design and implementation dashboards based on business needs, ensuring optimized performance
• Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and stakeholders
• Provides guidance to junior engineers and collaborates with peers.
Qualifications
• Analytical Data Modeling: Design, test, and maintain scalable analytical data models using SQL and data modeling best practices. Participate in peer code reviews to ensure quality and consistency.
• Data Pipeline Development: Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like dbt. Conduct UAT and manage code releases to ensure reliable data flow and system performance.
• Data Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Diagnose and resolve data-related issues using strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Translate complex business logic into efficient, accurate data queries.
• DevOps & Code Management: Skilled in version control systems for collaborative development and code management (i.e Azure DevOps, GitHub)
• Strong Communication and Collaboration Skills: Collaborate with analysts, data engineers, and business stakeholders to align data solutions with strategic goals. Communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
• Agile Mindset: Actively participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint goals. Apply agile principles to respond to change, iterate quickly, and continuously improve team processes and product outcomes.
Education: Bachelors in Computer Science, Data Science or Related Field
Relevant Certifications: Microsoft Certified Power BI Data Analyst
The salary range for this role is $80,000 to $160,000 or the hourly equivalent.
