Role description
Akkodis is seeking a Data Architect for Contract (W2) with a client in Charlotte, NC/ Plano, TX - Hybrid - (3 days onsite in a week). Ideally, we are looking for candidates with a strong background in Data Architect, Data warehouse, Enterprise, Hadoop, Teradata, Hive, Impala, API, Capacity Usage, Capacity Planing, SQL and PostgreSQL. Pay Range: $65 -$70/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Job Summary: Job Description : 1. The Data Architect/Analyst drives enterprise-wide capacity management and data platform insights by building scalable analytics solutions within the Enterprise Data Warehouse. Partnering with engineering, platform, finance, and operations teams, this role delivers accurate capacity, usage, and forecasting insights to support strategic planning, cost optimization, and platform modernization across enterprise platforms such as Hadoop and Teradata. 1. This role will contribute to building a single source of truth for capacity metrics, automating manual reporting processes, and enabling data-driven decision-making for storage, compute, onboarding demand, support reclamation and hygiene efforts and inventory management across enterprise platforms such as Hadoop and Teradata platforms. 1. 7-10 years of relevant experience in data analysis, data development, or analytics engineering within large-scale enterprise data warehouse platforms and distributed data systems, including Hadoop, Teradata, and cloud or hybrid data platforms. 1. Strong hands-on experience with HDFS, Ozone, and Teradata, including use of HDFS CLI commands to assess storage consumption, along with familiarity with S3-compatible object storage concepts (volumes, buckets, keys). 1. Experience working with monitoring and metrics systems such as Prometheus and Grafana to support platform visibility, trend analysis and operational insights. 1. Proficiency in SQL across Teradata, Hive, Impala, and PostgreSQL, with hands-on experience designing and maintaining performant data models and transformations in large-scale environments. 1. Experience building and supporting analytical datasets, forecasting models, and dashboards to enable enterprise capacity management, utilization analysis, and operational and executive reporting. 1. Hands-on experience consuming REST APIs and loading API-driven datasets into persisted tables to support procuring point in time data. 1. Proven experience automating recurring capacity and operational reporting, reducing manual effort while improving data accuracy, consistency, and reliability. 1.
