Role description
Job Title: Data Architect with ontology Location: Tampa, FL (Remote) Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Data Architect / Data Engineer with strong expertise in Graph Databases and Knowledge Graphs, Onttology. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Graph RAG patterns, ontologies (OWL), and semantic data modeling. In this role, you will design, build, and optimize scalable data architectures to enable efficient knowledge representation, discovery, and insights across complex, interconnected datasets. Key Responsibilities Design and develop graph-based data architectures and models using technologies like Neo4j, Amazon Neptune, or TigerGraph Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions Build and manage ETL/ELT pipelines for graph data ingestion and transformation Optimize graph data storage, query performance, and scalability Develop knowledge graphs by analyzing complex datasets and relationships Ensure integration with APIs, data platforms, and enterprise systems Implement data governance, security, and best practices Provide technical leadership, documentation, and architecture standards Stay updated with latest advancements in graph technologies and data architecture Required Skills Strong experience as a Data Architect / Data Engineer (Graph focus) Hands-on experience with Graph Databases (Neo4j, Amazon Neptune, TigerGraph) Proficiency in Graph Query Languages (Cypher, Gremlin, SPARQL) Experience in designing and implementing knowledge graphs Strong understanding of data modeling (Relational + NoSQL) Experience with ETL pipelines and data workflows Programming skills in Python / Java / Scala Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Knowledge of data governance, security, and metadata management Strong problem-solving and communication skills Must Have Experience with .NET development Hands-on Graph Database implementation experience Nice to Have Experience with Power BI and Databricks Exposure to Azure DevOps Knowledge of Semantic Web technologies (RDF, OWL, Linked Data) Experience with AI/ML use cases on graph data (Graph RAG) Background in Knowledge Management / Ontologies Experience with Docker / Kubernetes
