This is a key technical role responsible for defining, maintaining and governing the organisation's data architecture, ensuring data platforms, models and integrations are scalable, secure and aligned with business objectives. The successful candidate will provide architectural leadership across data initiatives, ensuring solutions are designed in line with best practice and support trusted reporting, analytics and business decision-making. What you will be doing as Data Architect: • Define and maintain enterprise data architecture principles, standards and best practices. • Design conceptual, logical and physical data models to support analytics, reporting and operational services. • Provide architectural governance and assurance across data platforms, pipelines and integration solutions. • Develop scalable integration patterns to enable data sharing across multiple systems and platforms. • Ensure data solutions are designed with appropriate governance, security and compliance controls. • Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective architectural designs. • Provide technical leadership and guidance to Data Engineers and wider delivery teams. • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the organisation's data architecture, standards and tooling. What you will need experience in for the Data Architect role: • Significant experience working as a Data Architect or Senior Data Engineer within a complex organisation. • Strong experience designing conceptual, logical and physical data models. • Experience providing architectural governance and assurance across enterprise data solutions. • Strong understanding of data architecture, integration patterns, governance and secure data design. • Experience working with enterprise data platforms, analytics solutions and cloud technologies. • Experience working with the Microsoft data stack. • Experience working with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Power Platform and Microsoft Fabric would be advantageous. • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences. • Experience working within secure, well-governed data environments. What the successful Data Architect will receive: • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. • Predominantly remote working, with only occasional onsite attendance required for key meetings or collaboration sessions. • Opportunity to influence the future direction of a modern enterprise data platform. • A collaborative environment with opportunities for professional development and career progression.
