Data Architect
Location: Telford (Hybrid – 2 days/week in office)
6 Months
Day Rate: £570 (Inside IR35)
Security Clearance Required: SC Cleared
My client is looking for an experienced Data Architect to join a high-impact government project focused on combatting fraud within Self-Assessment (SA) registrations.
You’ll join a new Scrum team on the Minerva Platform, delivering ingestion and risking capabilities using the SAS Platform (including IDP) and aligned with approved Enterprise Architecture (EA) patterns.
Key Responsibilities
As a Data Architect, you will:
• Design, support and guide the upgrade, management, and archiving of data in line with data policies.
• Define and maintain data technology architecture, covering metadata, integration, BI, and data warehousing.
• Support and contribute to data dictionaries and metadata repositories.
• Drive alignment between data design and business needs, ensuring compliance with governance standards.
Essential Skills & Experience
You should be confident working at both strategic and hands-on levels. You’ll bring expertise in:
🔸 Data Architecture & Modelling
• Create, update, and reverse-engineer data models
• Align data architecture to business problems and enterprise-wide standards
🔸 Data Governance & Standards
• Ensure compliance with data policies
• Develop, assess and enforce data standards
🔸 Data Integration & Metadata Management
• Perform impact analysis for data and system integration
• Maintain accurate metadata repositories
🔸 Data Analysis & Communication
• Perform data profiling and analysis of source systems
• Present insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Create visualisations and basic presentations
🔸 Strategic Thinking & Innovation
• Support planning with a strategic lens
• Stay informed of new tools and innovative approaches to data
🔸 Problem Management
• Investigate data issues, identify patterns and implement remedies
