Job Description: Data Architect
Key Responsibilities
• Design and implement effective database solutions and models to store and retrieve company data.
• Analyze structural requirements for new software and applications.
• Develop database design and architecture documentation for the management and executive teams.
• Collaborate with IT teams and business units to understand data needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Ensure database solutions are secure, scalable, and meet performance requirements.
• Monitor and maintain data architecture standards and best practices.
• Evaluate and recommend new database technologies and tools.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Architect, Data Scientist, Data Analyst or similar role.
• In-depth understanding of database structure principles and data modeling.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools and data warehousing solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with big data technologies like Snowflake, Databricks, Spark, or Kafka.
• Understanding of data governance and data security practices, particularly as it relates to Microsoft Purview.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
