Data Modeling | MDM | Medallion Architecture | Modern Data Platforms

The Role
This role blends hands-on data engineering execution with data architecture leadership, ensuring that systems are built on strong modeling foundations (Star Schemas, Dimensional Models), governed master data (MDM), and modern medallion-based lakehouse architectures.
Data Architecture & Modeling
• Design and implement enterprise data models (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Data Vault where applicable).
• Define and implement Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) patterns across Lakehouse environments.
• Architect scalable logical and physical data models aligned to reporting and operational needs.
• Lead dimensional modeling workshops with business and engineering teams.
• Ensure data lineage, data quality, and semantic consistency across domains.
Master Data Management (MDM)
• Design and implement MDM frameworks for critical entities (Customer, Product, Account, Vendor, etc.).
• Define survivorship rules, golden record logic, and matching algorithms.
• Integrate MDM processes into ingestion and transformation pipelines.
• Establish data stewardship and governance standards aligned to enterprise best practices.
Modern Data Platform Expertise
• Architect and implement solutions in iceberg and big query or similar lakehouse platforms.
• Leverage features such as Streams, Tasks, Materialized Views, clustering, and optimization strategies.
• Participate in infrastructure-as-code implementation (Terraform).
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD for data pipelines.
Required Skills & Experience
• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering and/or Data Architecture roles.
• Strong expertise in Dimensional Modeling (Star Schema) and analytical data modeling.
• Experience designing Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) environments.
• Hands-on experience implementing or integrating MDM solutions.
• Advanced SQL and Python proficiency.
• Experience with iceberg, big query and GCP similar cloud-native data platforms.
• Deep understanding of batch and streaming data patterns.
• Experience designing semantic layers for BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
