Job Title: Data bricks Engineer (Unity Catalog) Exp: 8+ Years Location: Irving, TX Employment Type: contract Visa: Any visa ( Except CPT/OPT/H1B) Domain: Telecom Duration: 12+ Months Rate: $DOE/hr on W2 / 1099 No. of interviews: 01 Mode of Interview: MS Teams About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Databricks Engineer with hands-on expertise in Unity Catalog to design, implement, and manage enterprise-level data and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will be skilled in building secure, scalable, and governed data platforms, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines and workflows using Databricks. Implement and manage Unity Catalog for centralized governance of data, users, and permissions. Define and enforce data security, lineage, and compliance policies across the Databricks ecosystem. Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure efficient and reliable access to governed data. Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines, integrating data from multiple structured and unstructured sources. Optimize Databricks clusters, jobs, and workflows for cost and performance efficiency. Provide guidance and best practices on data governance, auditing, and access controls. Support data scientists and analysts in accessing curated datasets for AI/ML and BI use cases. Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong experience with Databricks (Delta Lake, Spark, SQL, Workflows). Hands-on experience in implementing and managing Unity Catalog. Solid understanding of data governance, access control, and compliance frameworks. Proficiency in SQL, Python, or PySpark for data processing. Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration tools. Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their data services. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for data engineering. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with data lineage tools and metadata management. Knowledge of lakehouse architecture and Delta Live Tables (DLT). Familiarity with RBAC, ABAC, or fine-grained access controls.
